Strengthen trust, improve collaboration, overcome fear of conflict, and build a high-performing team with a practical workshop based on Patrick Lencioni’s book “The Five Dysfunctions of a Team.”

I offer this workshop for teams in Tallinn, across Estonia, or remotely. I am also available to travel if you would like to host the workshop at your location.
In the workshop, we will uncover the five key challenges that hold many teams back:
- Lack of trust
- Fear of conflict
- Lack of commitment
- Avoidance of accountability
- Inattention to results
Through engaging discussions and hands-on exercises, your team will learn how to recognize these dysfunctions, address them openly, and develop new ways of working together. The goal is not only to understand the model but also to apply it directly to your team’s reality so you leave with practical next steps.
This is an important workshop for understanding team dynamics, changing how the team works, and building the confidence to challenge one another openly. It also works well as a team-building experience, helping people connect on a deeper level, see things from a new perspective, and get to know each other better.

Who It’s For
This workshop is most beneficial when it is done with the whole team working together. It builds a lasting foundation for teamwork and serves as a point of reference in team discussions long after the session.
What to Expect
During the workshop we will:
- Explore the five dysfunctions, how they manifest, their symptoms and root causes
- Talk about how team members can work together to overcome the dysfunctions
- Identify which dysfunctions may be most relevant for your team
- Have open and respectful conversations about challenges that might otherwise be avoided
- Create concrete ideas and a plan for improving teamwork
Outcomes
By the end of the workshop, your team will:
- Understand the Five Dysfunctions model and how it applies to your context
- Be able to assess which dysfunctions might be affecting your teamwork
- Discuss strategies for overcoming these challenges together
- Gain confidence in having difficult but constructive conversations
- Strengthen trust and collaboration through shared insights and agreements
A very important part of the workshop is open conversations, during which the team members can address the difficult problems that they probably might have avoided before, in a safe and respectful environment, without finger-pointing.

Common Insights Teams Take Away
Usually, the biggest insights after the workshop are:
- Understanding why it is essential to invest time and effort in building relationships that result in trust
- Realizing that conflict, while often seen as negative, is actually crucial for successful teamwork and innovation
- Seeing mutual accountability as a positive practice that strengthens, not weakens, relationships
Practical Details
Format: Available both in-person and online. I always prefer face-to-face workshops, but the remote version also works well.
Duration: Half-day workshop (3–5 hours). A full-day format is also available, allowing more time to go deeper into building trust, handling conflict, and giving feedback, as well as space for extended discussions and creating a concrete action plan.
Preparation: Before the workshop, I ask team members to fill in a short questionnaire. This helps surface perspectives and gives us a starting point for our discussions. If needed, the questionnaire can also be completed during the beginning of the workshop.

Next Steps
